Choosing the right place to take your date can be a trying decision for some lesbian women. You want to make a good impression and that can be somewhat difficult if you do not know your date well. If you take your date to a steak house and she's a vegetarian then you can guess that it may not go over so well. Likewise, if you are short on cash you are going to want to find an idea more appealing than the McDonald's Dollar Menu - no matter how much your date swears she loves the McChicken Sandwich.

The good news is there are many ways to impress your partner by the choices you make for your date, and none of them have to be incredibly expensive. In fact, some of the nicest and most romantic dates are ones that do not cost a great deal of money. Below is a list of five subtle and romantic dates that will wow her.

Dinner and a Movie
If you want to spend a good amount of time talking to your date then dinner and a movie is a great idea. This is a fairly standard date, though ... but you can kick it up by having dinner that has been cooked by you, and you can watch the movie of your date's choice in the private intimacy of your own living room. This allows you to set a romantic setting and gives you the quiet setting that will make it perfect to get to know one another. For an added touch find out your dates favorite meal and make that for the dinner. If you cannot cook you can always order out, and then have it ready and placed on warming plates in the oven when your date arrives.

Visit a Coffee House
Take your date out for a cappuccino and relax in the comfort of the coffee house. Another great place to talk, at the coffee house you will find great atmosphere and a relaxing feel. Coffee houses usually offer some sort of entertainment, as well, along with excellent coffee and the occasional sandwich or finger food. You can enjoy a poetry reading, or a local musician's show, while getting to know your date.

Sunday Brunch - Ice Cream Style
If you know your date is a junk food junkie indulge her on Sunday's by taking her out for a sinful treat. A sundae or a banana split will hit the spot for any ice cream enthusiast. For an added touch, and if this isn't your first date, consider ordering something larger and split it with the object of your affection.

Take a Walk
This is going to be more of an addition to a date rather than the entire date. Where you go is entirely up to you. You could watch the sunset over the water at the beach, or you could go for a walk in the park. Either way, the setting is nice and allows for some private time to get to know one another. The setting is both romantic and public - and it keeps the pressure off to have to provide for anything more considering there is likely to be people around you and in plain view.

Sightsee
If you or your date is new to the area, or you want to rediscover your area together, sightseeing is an excellent idea. If you are from a big city you will be able to find numerous tours of specific areas. If you are from a smaller town consider visiting a museum, taking a walking tour of the historic homes in the area, or creating your own tour of your favorite spots for your date to enjoy with you.
